They’re leading marches, defending the faith and becoming outspoken critics of trends in “purity culture,” segregation and strict gender roles still popular in some corners of the church. Women pay their respects at a memorial for the victims of the shootings in Atlanta. He’s also seen the need for white communities to learn more about Asian American church traditions.
