THE Astaka field at Lorong Utara Kecil, Petaling Jaya will be upgraded next year by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ). “We have some allocation under next year’s budget to upgrade the field,” said MBPJ public relations officer Zainun Zakariah. "The upgrade will prevent the field from getting waterlogged and make it suitable for field games such as rugby and football," said Zainun. It was reported that the far end of the field, which could be accessed by joggers would also be cleared. Tunku Maziah urged the council to repair the broken river fence, the walkways, lights and the carpark.
