Aston Villa officials jet in to Turkey for Tammy Abraham talks - as transfer chiefs attempt to broker deal with Besiktas to bring forward back to Villa Park

Aston Villa officials flew to Istanbul on Monday in an attempt to seal a move for Besiktas striker Tammy Abraham. Daily Mail Sport understands Villa transfer chief Roberto Olabe attended Besiktas’ 1-0 win over Kayserispor, with Abraham playing all but the final few seconds of the Super Lig encounter. Currently on loan from Roma, Abraham would like to rejoin Villa but Besiktas are currently unwilling to let him go. Abraham has scored seven goals this season and Besiktas are currently fifth in the table, 11 points below leaders Galatasaray. Besiktas have an obligation to buy Abraham for £11m, so the loan deal with Roma would have to be cancelled early, or Besiktas buy him from Roma before selling him immediately to Villa.
