AstraZeneca boss claims Oxford University's Covid-19 vaccine is likely to protect for a YEAR

WHAT IS THE OXFORD VACCINE? Clinical teams at the Oxford University's Jenner Institute and Oxford Vaccine Group began developing the vaccine in January. Estimates suggests the world will need around 4.5billion vaccine doses to put an end to the pandemic. The Oxford vaccine, called AZD1222, has been in human trials since April 23, while Imperial's trials are expected to start today. Both the Oxford University and Imperial College London vaccine projects are viewed as two of the world's 'frontrunners'.
