Between 20 and 30 homeless asylum seekers are sleeping rough nightly in sometimes freezing temperatures in Dublin city, volunteers say, as figures show almost 3,500 beds in refugee accommodation centres lie empty. These included 2,430 “mixed-accommodation beds”, 600 “single-male beds”, and 450 “family-only beds”.
