SAN JUAN, Philippines – The Ateneo Lady Eagles extended their winning streak to nine after making quick work of the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 25-21, 25-10, 25-18, in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Wednesday. An all-around team effort spelled victory for the Lady Eagles, who clinched at least a playoff berth with their 9-1 record. Despite a tough fight from the Lady Tamaraws in the opening set, Ateneo stepped on the gas pedal on offense. Deanna Wong was a playmaker for the Katipunan-based squad, tallying 30 excellent sets. FEU fell to a 6-4 win-loss record.
