Two days after senior RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja was attacked by motorcycle-borne assailants, Jalandhar police has released ‘sketches’ of CCTV footage showing the alleged attackers. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing ‘old Khalistanis’ and militant sleeper groups, according to sources. It may be noted that in past few years Punjab police has busted several sleeper groups of ex-militant organisations. DGP Punjab Suresh Arora is closely monitoring the investigation. The anti-riot police force has also been deployed at the strategic locations of Jalandhar and near Jyoti Chowk where the attack took place on Saturday.
