An Attleborough man who repeatedly punched his former partner in the face in front of their child has been jailed for grievous bodily harm. David Bassett, 38, of Harvest Road in Attleborough, was sentenced to five years in prison at Norwich Crown Court today after being found guilty during a trial last month. Bassett attacked his former partner in New Road, Attleborough, on November 13, 2020, at around 9.15am. Bassett then got out of the van and repeatedly punched her in the face through the open car window. Bassett was handed a five year prison sentence, and the judge also ordered him to serve an extended licence period of three years on his release.
