A young West Auckland angler has an anxious wait to see if he's reeled in a record marlin. Marshall Jackson, 10, hauled in the whopping 124.8 kilograms striped marlin on February 5, near Piha, on Auckland's west coast. About 30 minutes in, a striped marlin grabbed the lure of the 15kg line. The striped marlin record would be for a small fry angler younger than 11, and on up to 15kg line.
