Australian state network ABC has come under fire for removing male presenters and djs for one day, to celebrate women. In a move that's been criticised as "tokenism", the network will only be fronted by its stable of female broadcasters for International Women's Day. "Most women don't need to be fed a diet of 'women only' content by 'women only' hosts to feel empowered," she wrote. International Women's day was instituted in 1909 to recognise the contribution of women to society, and to raise the profile of the fight for women's rights.
