“I was really s--- at travelling because I was really carsick, I was really boatsick and I was really scared of flying. “I was surveying a river in Ghana for hippo populations and I was in a small canoe with a local guy who knew canoes, knew the river. “There will be clips from shows and talk about the things that I’ve done, many of which are not remotely glamorous. “It is amazing when you look back over a 30-year career how many times you’ve looked like a complete idiot.
