Tragedy struck on Saturday when a ghastly automobile accident claimed the lives of six people who are said to be related and from the same town, Dass, headquarters of Dass LGA of Bauchi State. A reliable source of information told our reporter that the accident occurred along Dass-Bauchi road in Bayara, a suburbs of Bauchi metropolis which is about 10km away saying that the victims were on their way to Bauchi from Dass when the accident happened. The source narrated that the accident happened when the vehicle they were travelling in lost control and veered off the highway into a ditch claiming their lives on the spot. Their dead bodies were buried in Dass on Sunday after the funeral prayers that was held in front of the Palace of the Emir of Dass with hundreds of people in attendance in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
