more-inNavi Mumbai: Two days after resuming services, Kharghar Ekta Mitra Mandal, which has 800 vehicles under its banner, went on a strike on Friday. They claimed that since they pay the rent for the auto stand at Kharghar railway station to the CIDCO, it belongs to them, and Taloja union can’t operate there. Until we find a solution, our autos will be off road,” Kesarinath Patil, president, Kharghar Ekta Mitra Mandal, said. Taloja corporator Aziz Patel said since they all are residents of Kharghar, Ekta Mitra Mandal cannot alone claim the auto stand to be theirs. “Auto stands are usually leased out, and the Kharghar railway station auto stand has been leased out to Ekta Mitra Mandal.”
