Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti has filed a renewed motion asking for permission to depose President Donald Trump and his longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen — and there’s an excellent chance he will win this round. Last month, Avenatti filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of adult film star Stormy Daniels requesting that the court declare a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) she had signed invalid. In the complaint, Daniels’ attorney Avenatti maintained that the NDA was a “Hush Agreement” aiming to silence Daniels about a consensual sexual relationship she had with the president. Avenatti argued that there was no legally binding agreement between the parties because Trump never signed the contract. Avenatti backs up his contention with a page and a quarter packed with relevant case law.
