Spending on laptops will total £4,074, while gaming enthusiasts will splash £2,804 on consoles, according to a study of 2,000 people. It also emerged that 61 per cent prefer, when possible, to buy their gadgets outright rather than paying a monthly sum. "However, this works out well for savvy shoppers, who can pick up older or refurbished phones at knockdown prices."
