ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi inaugurated the new Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the premier said that aviation is close to his heart, who is associated with a private airline. It may be mentioned that first test flight of PIA had made the successful landing at Islamabad International Airport on April 7. New Islamabad International Airport encompasses 19 square kilometre area wherein all the facilities of parking of 15 aircrafts and landing of the biggest aircraft in the world are available. Earlier, PM Abbasi had rejected the proposal for naming new Islamabad International Airport after Liaqat Ali Khan.
