This is as part of the global beauty and personal care company’s plans to expand its African footprint. “We are excited at the prospect of expanding our operations into Kenya which is the biggest economy in the east African region,” said Avon Group Chief Executive Officer, Angela Cretu. In sub-Saharan Africa, the world’s biggest direct selling beauty company has a presence in Botswana, Mozambique Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The expansion to Kenya bodes well for widespread adoption of Avon’s digital platforms for women to promote their micro enterprises.
