Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance has resolved to eject Nominated MP Sabina Chege as the Minority Whip. The decision was made on Thursday during the Azimio Parliamentary Group meeting at Stoni Athi in Machakos County. Chege's demotion comes just hours after the outfit leader Raila Odinga recommended a change in the law in order to discipline rebellious leaders. Raila also requested that the amendments affect nominated leaders who pledge allegiance to other political parties. In January 2023, Chege pledged her loyalty to the Kenya Kwanza Allaince.
