Danny Murphy and Jonathan Pearce were caught up in Croatia's wild celebrations for Luka Modric's goal against Italy with beer flying all over the stands. Spain were out of sight in Group B having won their opening two matches, but the second spot was up for grabs between Italy and Croatia. The match was finely poised after a cagey first half, but burst into life 10 minutes into the second half when Croatia were awarded a penalty. Modric stepped up, but Gianluigi Donnarumma pulled off a magnificent save to deny the Croatia captain.
