THE BBC’s Winter Olympics figures shattered TV viewing numbers after recording a total of 83million streams throughout the tournament. The coverage also saw 44m hours streamed on BBC iPlayer, the BBC website and app and 23m on TV. And the 83m streams are a massive increase on the 31.4m total viewers from the last Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022. BBC director of sport Alex Kay-Jelski said the corporation had “delivered an outstanding Games” and “engaged audiences more than ever”.
