A director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Muhammad Mukhlesur Rahman, has stepped down from his position as chairman of the board’s audit committee following allegations of involvement in match-fixing during the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Confirming the development, a BCB director said that Mukhlesur had resigned from the audit committee chairmanship in the wake of the allegations. The BCB has referred the matter to its Integrity Unit for investigation. “We have already handed the details to Alex Marshall, chairman of the BCB’s Integrity Unit.
