BN submits 3 to 5 names for every parliament, state seat for security screening

PUTRAJAYA: Barisan Nasional (BN) has submitted between three and five names for every parliament and state seat for security screening. BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the names of potential candidates for all 505 state assemblies and 222 parliamentary seats have been submitted to the police, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Insolvency Department. Tengku Adnan told reporters after attending the Sale of Fresh Fish at Half Price programme here. He said after the screening process, five to seven per cent of potential candidates in 14th General Election (GE14) will be rejected for several reasons. On another matter, Tengku Adnan said the opposition was only good at pointing fingers at BN without realising that most problems came from them.
