The BNP has taken action against eight members of the Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB), accusing them of breaching party discipline and engaging in activities against its principles and solidarity. The doctors are Khairul Islam, Rafiqul Kabir Labu, Md Faruk Hossain, Mahbub Arefin Rezanur Ranju, MA Kamal, and three others identified with single names -- Sajid, Shawon, and Rakib. In a notice issued on Tuesday, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the doctors will no longer have any affiliation with the BNP, DAB, or any post in any level of the party’s affiliated or associate bodies. The party said the action was taken due to activities that go against its code of discipline, ideology, and unity. The BNP has also warned that any organisation bringing these individuals into their ranks will face similar measures.
