By Paul HannonThe Bank of England said Wednesday that its program of bond purchases to support U.K. pension funds will end Friday as planned, and that had been made "absolutely clear" in contacts with banks. Speaking in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, BOE Governor Andrew Bailey said the bond-buying program would end Friday as planned. "You've got three days left," he said in remarks addressed to pension funds on Tuesday. "The governor confirmed this position yesterday and it has been made absolutely clear in contact with the banks at senior levels," the BOE said.
