BRUR celebrates Independence Day 2026 with procession, tributes, discussions, prayers, and tree plantation. Photo : BSSRANGPUR, March 26, 2026 (BSS) - Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) celebrated Independence and National Day-2026 with due dignity and daylong colorful programmes on Thursday. The day's celebration began in the morning with hoisting of the national flag by Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali at sunrise. Convener of the university’s Great Independence and National Day-2026 Celebration Committee and Professor Dr Md Tajul Islam chaired the discussion. Assistant Director of the Public Relations, Information and Publication Division of BRUR Md Ehteramul Huq moderated the entire programme.
