Issuing an official statement, the Tripura Frontier unit of BSF stated that on Friday night, Border Guards Bangladesh’s Commanding Officer Lt Col Gomal Kabir informed BSF Commandant Ratnesh Kumar that they have detained 31 Rohingya Muslims along the international border with West Tripura. The BGB Commandant insisted the BSF commandant to take over those Rohingyas from the India-Bangladesh border fencing. Also Read- 31 Rohingyas still at Brahmanbaria borderAccording to the statement, the BGB Commanding Officer alleged BSF has been pushing out Rohingyas to Bangladeshi territory. In the statement, the BSF strongly refuted such allegations as published in the Bangladeshi media. The BSF also stated the Indo-Bangla bordering area was searched and no signs of crossing of Rohingyas from Indian territory to Bangladesh were found during spot verification.
