Indian Border Security Force (BSF) returned the body of a Bangladeshi national who was shot dead along the Dharmagarh border region of Thakurgaon. 171 BSF officially handed over Raju’s body to 50 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday around 7:30pm, 38 hours after being shot. BGB Thakurgaon 50 Battalion captain Lt Colonel Tuhin Moha Masud confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. After the flag meeting led by the 171 BGB Commander Subedar Ibrahim and the company commander of BSF Pran Kumar, the formalities for handing over the body were completed. The BSF fatally shot Raju after he trespassed onto Indian soil; as his associates made their escape.
