Two hospitals that are being investigated over the deaths of dozens of babies have been rated inadequate by the Care Quality Commission. Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust has been the subject of an independent inquiry after families came forward with allegations involving deaths and serious harm to babies stretching back four decades to 1973. The 112-page CQC report, published today, found significant problems with the trust’s emergency and maternity services.
