AN abandoned baby monkey has broken hearts after being seen snuggling up to a soft toy, using the stuffed animal as a stand-in parent. Six-month-old Punch, a baby macaque, was filmed clinging to his stuffed orangutan for comfort after his own mother rejected him shortly after he was born. The baby monkey was born in July last year when his mother rejected him, according to reports. “The burden of her [Punch’s mother] first birth may have been a factor,” Shikano said.
