If their friends are really interested in Minecraft, they’ll be better off with a Windows laptop. Windows laptops can run Web-based software, as well as more sophisticated apps that have to be stored on the laptop hard drive. But many school IT managers tell me they shift to Chromebooks or Windows laptops by the time kids move into third grade.
