PETALING JAYA: National mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie captured their second title of the year by winning the Singapore Open. They stunned world No.1 Tontowi Ahmad-Liliyana Natsir 21-19, 21-18 in 35 minutes to become the first ever Malaysian winners in the event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sunday (July 22). Soon Huat-Shevon had earlier won the German Open in March. The victory will stand the world No.8 in good stead when they travel to Nanjing for the World Championships which will be held from July 30 - Aug 5.
