After Bahrain sealed their series victory, Malaysia put up a much better batting display, accumulating 294 runs for nine in 50 overs, but heavy rain halted play for the day. Bahrain were 207 for four, leading by four runs when stumps were called after 38 overs. Captain Syed Aziz Syed Mubarak led the middle order with 36 before he was bowled by Abdul Majid Abbasi (2-35).
