Faria, 26, filed a petition with the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court to start a case against Dildar on Monday. Dildar Ahmed could not be reached for comment. Following Shafat’s arrest in the Banani rape case, his father was also arrested in a money laundering case. Both were released on bail, but Shafat was recently sent back to jail after his bail was cancelled.
