Banditry: CSO hails US–Nigeria security working group


A Civil Society Organisation (CSO), the International Society for Poverty Elimination/New End Hunger, Malnutrition and Poverty (NEHMAP), has described the recently inaugurated US–Nigeria working group on security as a timely intervention amid rising killings and banditry across the country, particularly in northern Nigeria. We need to move beyond traditional security approaches and prioritise comprehensive, sustainable solutions to complex systemic problems.
