Bangladesh’s diplomatic missions in New Delhi, Islamabad and Singapore on Saturday observed the 98th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day. In Islamabad, members of the expatriate Bangladesh community and their families participated in a daylong program arranged on the Chancery premises of Bangladesh High Commission there, according to UNB. This was followed by the cutting of a birthday-cake and reading out of messages released on this occasion by the president, prime minister, foreign minister and state minister for foreign affairs. In Singapore, Bangladesh High Commission organized numerous programs, marking Bangbandhu’s birth anniversary. Children read out messages from President Md Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali.
