Bangladesh economy records lowest growth in three years


The slowdown in the country's economy has become more evident as the GDP growth rate in FY25 decreased for the third consecutive year to 3.49%, which is the lowest in the post-Covid recovery period. On Thursday (February 26), the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) published the final estimate of the gross domestic product (GDP) on its website. According to the final estimate, growth decreased by 48 basis points compared to the provisional estimate. Statistics say that the country's GDP growth in FY22 year was 7.10%. According to BBS data, the growth rate in the agriculture and services sectors has slowed compared to the previous year.
