Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah ReutersThe Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on WednesdayBangladesh will observe National Mourning Day on Thursday in respect to the memory of Kuwait’s emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, who breathed his last on Tuesday at the age of 91. “One-day state mourning will be observed in the country on Thursday=at the death of Bangladesh’s true friend Kuwait’s emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah,” said the notification signed by Cabinet Division Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam. PM mourns Kuwaiti Emir’s deathPrime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of the Kuwait emir. “I recall with profound gratitude his contributions to the welfare of the Bangladeshi diaspora in Kuwait,” Sheikh Hasina said. “We also recall his dedicated services to the State of Kuwait and its people,” she said.
