The deceased is Shawkat Hossain, 35, a senior officer of Basic Bank Limited, and worked with Fakirapul branch. Pedestrians rushed him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 11am. Shawkat lived on the fifth floor of the nine-storey building. It is still not known how he fell off the building, he added.
