In a statement to Ashley's inquest, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports, a friend said: "I had known Ashley for about three years. (Image: STOKE SENTINEL)The inquest heard Ashley had attempted to take his own life in May 2018 and was put on anti-depressants. "On October 29, I last saw Ashley in the Ember Lounge for a drink and we were there for about four hours. He had three pints of beer and we spoke about relationships, work and he also spoke about his mental health. The inquest heard Ashley had not turned up for work at the Ember Lounge by 1pm the next day.
