Tottenham's pursuit of Ilaix Moriba has been shut down after the 18-year-old Barcelona rebel chose to sign for RB Leipzig instead, according to reports. The midfielder's deal runs-out next summer but talks have collapsed so dramatically the club banished him from both their first-team and reserve squads. Instead, RB Leipzig have swooped in and struck a deal with the player's agents for a five-year deal which would start in 2022, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Bundesliga side finished second last season to ensure entry to UEFA's premier club competition, while Spurs only manager seventh in the Premier League. The Guinean prodigy responded in a cryptic Instagram post, saying: 'Thousands of rumours and nobody knows the truth'.
