Lake Region's Barding High School capped their debut at the national stage of the KSSSA after thumping Friends School Bukembe (Nzoia Region) 2-0 in the Pool A opening match played at Moi Stadium Kisumu on August 2. Barding goalkeeper John Otieno was however cautious he decisively dealt with Victor Omondi's non-stop shots to lead his side the end on 2-0. Bukembe will play Kathungi High on Wednesday August 3. The game went into the break with George Owoko's side in a commanding lead. Bukembe found the going tough as they were pegged back only on the 15th minute after Zico Booker rifled home the opening goal after the victims defense failed to clear the dangerous ball inside the box.
