BAUCHI State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has risen in defence of President Muhammadu Buhari expressing concern over what he described as, “unguided comments” some prominent Nigerians are making in criticizing the economic policies of the administration. According to the release made available to newsmen Thursday, the Governor made the statement while commissioning projects executed by his administration at the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board. The Governor observed that there is no country in contemporary history “that made massive economic intervention since the Marshall plan than Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari,” and wondered why such criticisms had to wait until the policies have already started yielding dividends. “President Muhammadu Buhari came into office at the most trying moment of the nation’s history. Mohammed Abubakar also said that the foreign reserves of the country have been raised to over 40 billion USD, with an increase of nearly 35% over what the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari inherited when it came into office in 2015.
