The Command PPRO, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar said that all the suspects were arrested during recent raids carried out in different parts of the state by men of the Command. The Police spokesperson also said that investigation revealed that the syndicate operated in Bauchi, Plateau, Gombe and Nasarawa states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. According to him, the suspects arrested include Ahmed Mohammed, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Shu’aibu Adamu, Sani Ibrahim, Yakubu Musa, Musa Isa, Zakariya’u Mohammed, Salisu Mohammed, and Bala Ahmadu. He added that during interrogation, all the suspects confessed to the crime and that they would be charged to court on completion of the investigation. He said the hoodlums then demanded a ransom of N500,000 for his wives’ release.
