By Colin KellaherBaxter International Inc. on Thursday said it plans to invest roughly $100 million to expand its sterile fill/finish manufacturing plant in Halle/Westfalen, Germany. The Deerfield, Ill., medical-technology company said it will add a syringe filling line, along with additional liquid and freeze-dried vial capacity, at the plant, which is part of BioPharma Solutions, a Baxter unit that engages in the development and contract manufacturing of drug product for injectable pharmaceuticals.
