Baylor Researchers Lead Interdisciplinary Team Identifying Illicit Activity Online in NSF-Funded Grant

Tomas Cerny, Ph.D., assistant professor of computer science in Baylor's School of Engineering and Computer Science, serves on the five-person research team on an NSF grant to use technology to identify and disrupt illicit transactions online. It’s these types of transactions that two Baylor University professors and an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists are looking to thwart. Baylor colleague Tomas Cerny, Ph.D., assistant professor of computer science, also serves on the five-person team. He serves as the director for Baylor’s Center for Standards and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence, funded through a prior NSF grant. Students can choose from majors including bioinformatics, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, general engineering and mechanical engineering.
