Honorable Secretary for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Muhammad Abdullah, inaugurated the event as chief guest. Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim, general secretary of BCF and president, Fide Asian Zone 3.2, Begum Laila Alam, sponsor of the event, and Dr. Nasrin Begum, vice president, Tetra Hedron Inc, USA were also present as special guests. Wazir Alam and Dr. Waqi Alam gave speeches in the ceremony. A total of 45 players, including national champion, Women’s International Master Rani Hamid, national runners up, Women’s Fide Master Nazrana Khan Eva, Women’s Candidate Master Noshin Anjum and WFM Zakia Sultana will participate in the event. The event is being held in accordance with the seven-round Swiss League system.
