Belgian cyclist Stig Broeckx is in a coma after a motorbike crash at the Tour of Belgium and has been hospitalized with suspected head injuries. Recent accidents have led several cyclists, including world champion Tony Martin, to call into question the safety standards for the sport. Sporza, a Belgian sports website, reported that 12 riders were transferred to the hospital after suffering injuries from the collision, which was caused by a crash of two motorbikes. In March, Belgian rider Antoine Demoitie died from a crash with a motorbike during a race in Belgium. What we need NOW is a round table with UCI, race organizers and riders to force changes and decide one safty standard for EVERY race!
