Bello who spoke yesterday at the Kogi state Agricultural Expo as part of the activities marking his second year anniversary, said the criticism that has greeted the proposal arose from lack of intellectual capacity to grasp the benefits. He said failure to realize that the colonies, apart from ensuring increase in meat production, will also increase the internally generated revenue of the state. Bello allayed the fear of communities who believed that the Fulani are out to take over their land saying that they are purely out to engage in business. He also urged the people to learn the art of tolerance, which the state was noted for. He called on the youths in the state to embrace agriculture, which he described as the next oil well in the country.
