Bellshill Cultural Centre is to create a community group focusing on shared memories and reminiscing on days gone by. The project is part of the Scotland-wide Memories Scotland project, which promotes the benefits of reminiscing for our mental well-being. Mark Stafford, a library assistant with North Lanarkshire Council, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming new attendees to the memory group. "We have some fascinating materials prepared for these sessions, including lots of photographs of times past that are sure to get people chatting. Russell Brown, the council's community libraries manager, added: "I’m delighted that this new memory group is being created and can’t wait to see how it develops.
