Ben Murray: 'Keeping a clean sheet against Wembley was massive'

While delighted with the abundance of goals scored, Burnham manager Ben Murray was most pleased with how the Blues didn’t concede to Wembley at the weekend. For one reason or another, Burnham went through their whole pre-season without being able to keep a clean sheet, letting in 21 goals to Slough Town, Uxbridge, Sandhurst Town, Ascot United, Bedfont Sports, Farnham Town, and Southall. Speaking to the Advertiser at full-time on Saturday, boss Murray said: “For me today, keeping a clean sheet – which we haven’t managed to do throughout pre-season – was massive. “We’re always going to score goals; we just want to make sure we’re defensively sound too and today we were. There was a little tweak of things at half-time and the guys followed those instructions in the second half.
